Delete your Creelist account

You can delete your account yourself in the Creelist app. It happens straight away and can’t be undone.

Cancel Creelist Pro first

Deleting your account does not cancel a Creelist Pro subscription. Apple and Google bill subscriptions, so only they can stop them. Cancel first, or you’ll keep being charged:

iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

In the app

Open the Profile tab.
Tap the gear icon at the top to open Settings.
Under Your data, tap Delete account.
Type DELETE and tap Delete account.

If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm first. This also removes Creelist’s access to your Apple ID. If you cancel Apple’s prompt, nothing is deleted.

Want to keep your catches? Creelist Pro members can save them first with Settings → Your data → Export my data. Anyone else can ask us for a copy at privacy@creelist.app.

What is deleted

Your account and how you sign in: your email address and any link to Apple or Google sign-in.
Your profile, including your username and profile photo.
Every catch you logged, with its photos, location and notes.
Your wishlist, badges, trophy cards and collections.
Your saved trips and your conversations with the Creelist AI.
The subscription status and billing history Creelist stores for you.
Usage counters for Fish ID, AI and weather.

What stays

Custom species you added. The species name stays in our database, with no link to your account. Other members can’t see it.
Location reports from an early version of the app. If you made any, they stay without any link to your account.
Your purchases with Apple or Google. They keep their own records of what you bought, under their own terms.
Backups. Our database provider’s backups still contain your data until each backup expires on its regular schedule.

Uninstalling the app doesn’t delete your account. Anything else the app saved on your phone, such as your settings, goes when you uninstall it.

How long it takes

In the app, deletion is immediate. When the confirmation finishes, your account is gone and you’re signed out.

By email, we confirm the request with you and then delete your account within one month.

If you can’t open the app

Email support@creelist.app with the subject “Delete my Creelist account”. Send it from the email address on your account. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us your Creelist username instead. We’ll reply to confirm before we delete anything.
